No more “Love on the Rocks” for Neil Leslie Diamond – the legendary musician is a married man! The 71-year-old singer wed his manager, Katie McNeil, 42, in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday, his rep confirmed to People.This is the third marriage for the “Sweet Caroline” crooner, and McNeil’s first trip down the aisle.
“Good news coming from sunny LA/ and you’re the first I want to tell/ Katie & I just got engaged/ and I hope you wish us well. Neil,” the musician tweeted.
The same day, Diamond tweeted a picture of 42-year-old McNeil and wrote, “I’d like you to meet Katie. I’m lovestruck. I took this photo in London last month. Neil.”
He married school sweetheart Jayne Posner in 1963. The pair had two daughters and divorced in 1969.After divorcing Posner in 1969, he married Marcia Murphey, a production assistant and had two sons, Jesse and Michah, before splitting in 1994.Diamond and Murphey divorced in 1995.Neil got burned financially in the last divorce but he’s an old romantic at heart and can’t wait to get married again.
